Gareth Nutter (Executive Chef and Restaurant Manager).
Gareth was born in Barnoldswick, Lancashire and trained at Nelson and Colne College. Upon qualifying he moved to London and worked for 5 years at Claridges Hotel where he reached the position of Junior Sous Chef. Gareth then spent 4½ years at Birley's Delicatessens in charge of food production and all its aspects.
In 2001 he moved to Sheffield as Head Chef of Simply Carriages and then to head at Slammers Seafood Restaurant before opening the Bluefin kitchen in November 2004.
Matthew Rhodes (Head Chef)
Matthew was born in Sheffield and trained at Castle College where he attained NVQ level 3. His first position was as Commis Chef at Carriages Restaurant in Sheffield and then at Simply Carriages where he met Gareth. He then moved to Slammers Seafood Restaurant as 2nd Chef, The Blueroom Restaurant and finally to Bluefin.
Robert Wainwright (Sous / Pastry Chef)
Robert was born in Sheffield and trained at Castle College where he attained NVQ level 3. His first position was as Commis Chef at the Beauchief Hotel from where he moved to Slammers Seafood Restaurant. Robert then took the position of Pastry/Starters Chef at Carriages Restaurant for a period before moving to Crystal as Larder/Sous Chef. Robert joined Bluefin in March 2005.
